Slade- West Akron Bathroom Remodel
Built in 1906, this West Akron home required a full bathroom remodel without compromising the historic aesthetics and material. Aiming to preserve the existing floor tile, sink and faucet, window and recessed vanity, the bathroom received the needed upgrade.
Keeping the original bath, a surrounding wall, shower niche and a new valve and faucet were added. The existing wall tile was removed and replaced with a wooden board and batten wainscoting with a ledge. New electric lights were installed above the sink and the rework of existing switches and outlets. The walls and cabinets were given a fresh coat of paint to complete a newly remodeled bathroom with its original historic feel.
This was a featured and award-winning bathroom remodel in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
